"I'm proud to support Olaina in her campaign for Los Al School Board. Olaina had a very significant impact on the course of my life when I knew her as Mrs. Anderson, my English teacher and journalism adviser. I know she will make a similarly positive impact on thousands more students as a school board member. I also know she will support teachers and parents because she is one! I can't overstate how invaluable her experience and empathy will be once she is elected. She is perfectly suited to this calling and the cause of improving local education. I wish her the best of luck.

Sincerely,

Sara Fay, Producer at KCRW"

"Olaina personifies the American Dream. As a former English major and journalist (Long Beach Press-Telegram), I know the importance of a solid education. I am a graduate of Weaver, Oak, and Los Alamitos High School (class of '75!). While I received a great education, a Rossmoor upbringing in the 60s and 70s was pretty light on diversity and awareness of the "other." I love Olaina's views on respect and support for EVERYONE. I hope you'll join me in voting for Olaina."

I know Olaina will maintain our district's academic excellence while eliminating the partisan management tilt that has no place in a public school system. — Matt Filler, Los Alamitos USD parent

Please vote for Olaina for School Board. I feel it is very important for children and teachers to have a representative on the Board that understands their specific needs. Since Olaina has been a teacher, she will bring a deeper understanding of these needs given her background in instructional strategies and classroom management. — Laurie Shaw, community member
